It was July 14th, 2022 and the group of friends had been planning their glamping trip for months. They had heard about the Timber Valley Retreat in Clear Spring, Maryland and were excited to finally experience it. As they arrived, they were greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere of the retreat. The cabins - Amber Lodge, Tanner’s Bunkhouse, and Jake's Bunkhouse, were all beautifully designed and spacious. The group loved that they had the entire retreat to themselves and could enjoy it at their own pace. The first thing they did was light a fire in the outdoor fire pit and gather around it with hot cocoa and marshmallows. They shared stories, laughed, and enjoyed each other's company. The next day, they decided to explore the nearby national parks and use Timber Valley Retreat as their base camp. They went hiking, sightseeing, and even tried their hand at fishing. After staying for one night, I decided to extend it for as long as I could. They have enough beds to comfortably sleep 18, beds are clean, rooms are spacious and have working AC. The kitchen is amazing stove, two fridges, and a small dining area but outside you have plenty of options and tables for sitting. You have a firepit for a late night gathering. A children's outdoor playset and the little ones to play around. They have a personal pond for you to swim around or paddle boat or right next to the cabins is the Potomac River.
